I. Preliminary Preparation: Determine Connection Positions and Methods
Based on the shape, weight distribution, and center of gravity of the salvaged object, accurately identify the connection points of the salvage airbags to ensure uniform force distribution, preventing the object from tilting or being damaged during the salvage process.
Select appropriate connection tools (such as special hooks, ropes, etc.), clarify the connection methods (such as binding, welding fixation, etc.), and check the load-bearing capacity of the connection parts to ensure a firm and reliable connection.

II. Airbag Preprocessing: Unpacking, Test Inflation, and Deflation
Open the airbag package and lay the airbag flat on a smooth ground or operating platform free of sharp debris to avoid sharp objects piercing the airbag surface.
Connect the inflation pipe to the airbag's inflation valve in accordance with the instructions, ensuring the interface is tightly sealed without air leakage risks.
Perform a test inflation: Slowly inflate the airbag, observe whether the airbag expands normally, and check for air leakage in all parts.
After confirming no abnormalities in the test inflation, slowly release the gas from the airbag, tidy up the airbag, and wait for suspension use.


 

III. Suspending the Airbag: Fixing to the Salvaged Object
Use lifting equipment or manual assistance to smoothly suspend and fix the preprocessed airbag on the salvaged object according to the preset connection positions.
During the fixing process, recheck the firmness of the connection to ensure there is no relative sliding between the airbag and the salvaged object, and that the suspension positions are symmetrical with balanced force.



IV. Inflation Operation: Control the Inflation Process According to Different Situations

The airbag will continuously generate buoyancy during inflation. When the buoyancy exceeds the weight of the salvaged object, the object will float up rapidly. At this time, underwater operators must immediately evacuate to a safe area; meanwhile, continuously check the connection strength between the inflation pipe and the airbag to prevent accidents caused by the inflation pipe falling off.
1. Inflation of a Single Salvage Airbag
Adopt a pipeline connection method, slowly turn on the inflation device, and control the inflation speed to avoid damage to the airbag due to excessive local force caused by rapid inflation.
Continuously observe the expansion state of the airbag and the floating trend of the salvaged object, and adjust the inflation speed according to the actual situation until the object reaches the predetermined floating state.
2. Inflation of Multiple Salvage Airbags
First Step: Staged Pre-inflation to 80%
First inflate the first airbag. When the inflation volume reaches 80% of its rated capacity, pause the inflation of this airbag and switch to inflating the next airbag. Repeat this process until all airbags are inflated to 80%.
(The purpose of this step is to allow each airbag to bear force evenly, avoiding excessive load on a single airbag)
Second Step: Inflate Each to 100% One by One
After all airbags have reached 80% inflation, inflate each airbag one by one in sequence until each airbag reaches 100% of its rated capacity.
(This step ensures that all airbags jointly exert maximum buoyancy, making the salvaged object float up stably)
Through the standardized operation of the above procedures, the safe use of salvage airbags can be effectively ensured, and the efficiency and safety of the salvage operation can be improved. During the operation, it is necessary to strictly follow safety regulations and be equipped with necessary emergency equipment to deal with possible emergencies.
