Product Description
Marine air bag is widely used in shipping launching and docking in shipyards, specially small and medium shipyards along riverside and seaside in American and Asia countries. Marine airbag is also called shipping launching airbag that indicates the most popular application of airbag is for shipping launching. It is estimated more than 80% new built ships whose WDT is below 60000 are launching by marine airbags.
This flexible launching technology is highly versatile and helps companies in the building and marine industry saving effort, time, work load and investment.
Luhang Structure
The airbag body is constructed of an inner rubber layer, reinforced cord layers and an outer rubber layer. All of these layers are vulcanized together.
The outer skin rubber compound is designed and manufactured to be able to withstand both strenuous use including abrasion during adverse weather conditions whilst protecting the cord layers and inner rubber.
The synthetic cord layers are arranged and designed to evenly distribute loads and stresses, thus maintaining the fender'sinternal air pressure.
The inner rubber layer seals pressurized air inside marine airbags.
Qingdao Luhang using nature rubber and nylon cord as raw material synthetic cord layer is made of rubber and synthetic tyre cord fabric.
Material And Accessory
Our company has 30 years of experience in rubber formulators and has a unique airbag rubber formula. We will adjust the formula according to the season and humidity. For example, in summer, the specific gravity of materials such as carbon black will be increased to maintain the hardness and wear resistance of the airbag. A rubber performance inspection will be conducted after each adjustment to the formula, and a rubber performance inspection will be conducted every seven days when the formula remains unchanged. Other manufacturers' formulas are prone to adulteration with recycled rubber. Our company promises never to use recycled rubber; all use natural rubber, butadiene rubber, and styrene-butadiene rubber with excellent performance.
Our Process
We are a manufacturer of marine airbags and fenders. Our company covers an area of 40,000 square meters. We can control all processes, from rubber mixing to vulcanization, by ourselves to ensure quality.
Our raw materials are stored for no more than seven days, which can better ensure the optimal performance of the rubber. Because the rubber plate is prone to self-sulfide when the temperature is high, eventually causing the airbag to delamination.

Performance Calculation Principle of Airbags
The bearing capacity of marine airbags was calculated based on the working pressure, contact area. Herein, working pressure was
got upon the burst pressure and safety working factor.
Because of the flexibility of marine airbag the contact area will be affected by some terms which include the carried ship
condition, the different position from gravity center during the process of ship launching and pulling. So the bearing capacity of
airbags will vary as well as the contact area.
The approximate bearing capacity can be calculated as follows:
